Gyu Shige Japanese BBQ

Atmosphere and service are very good. The meats are good, but not outstanding in my opinion. I’ve had the A5 wagyu once for the novelty- I think their much cheaper brisket is as good or better. Not a big fan of any of their sauces, so I usually just ask for some salt and add that. They do have pretty good sushi here too. Overall it is a nice place for BBQ, but just kind of falls short of being amazing in any regard.

Very nice BBQ experience. This place is different from other table BBQ places. The floors aren’t greasy and it doesn’t smell like smoke. The rolls are different and presented nicely. The BBQ was diy except for the wagu meats. There is a 90min time limit, the price gets absurd quickly but… the toilet seats are heated! That is some Japanese flair!

I stopped by tonight as a first visit! Not expecting much but it surpassed my expectations by a lot! The restaurant itself is very classy and upscale. The interior has great interest as you peruse around the restaurant. The bathrooms are interesting and prestine as well. It has a nice bar plus a great setting area. I imagine it gets packed on the weekends. Consider reservations during peak times. The entire menu looks amazing. I stuck to the sushi side tonight and I was very impressed. I look forward to trying the entire menu. Service was good, not great but the food came fast after ordering and was well presented. I feel confident that this establishment is well ran and can make most people with great taste happy. If you like quality and are willing to splurge it is worth the visit! The Sake options are 2nd to no place I have ever found! I am excited to go back to explore the entire selection of food and drinks offered here! Enjoy your visit! One of the absolute best Japanese barbecue restaurants I've ever been to in my entire life. It is obviously one of the most expensive ones too. We had fabulous food all night and even went for the wagyu beef which was cooked for us by a professional. Make sure you dab it in some of the truffle salt on each side and throw it back on the grill for 10 seconds, it'll be a life-changing experience, I promise. This place deserves a mic drop as long as you can afford it.

Gyu Shige is an absolute gem. The dining experience here is unparalleled, with exquisite Wagyu beef dishes that melt in your mouth. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavor is extraordinary. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring a top-notch experience from start to finish. If you're a food enthusiast, this restaurant is a must-visit. Five stars, without a doubt!

New to Japanese BBQ, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I found was some of the most interesting cocktails that you can get at Mosaic. A manager who walked around with a smile,, and a waitstaff that was kind and eager to serve. Now that’s not even mentioning the food. Again, new to Japanese BBQ. I was surprised about how enjoyable it was to cook my own thin slices of meat. And the Smokey take on an Old Fashioned, the Yolo presented itself is a breathtaking way. I’m adding this to my list of places to enjoy.

I would give the place five stars except that I thought the portions were a bit small for the price. All in the food was solid, and the service was great. The host reminded us that the reservation was 90 minutes, but we didn't feel rushed since everything came out pretty quick. For the grill, the short rib plate was a big hit as well as the jalapeno marinated shrimp. From the kitchen, the stir fried udon and fried rice were also big hits.
